Turner Valley Gas Plant Historic Site
The Turner Valley Gas Plant provides a look into
Alberta's early gas and oil industry.
The Big Rock
Just 7 kilometres west of Okotoks lies The Big Rock
from which Okotoks derives its Indian name. This mammoth (18,000 tons)
glacial deposit is now a Provincial Historic Site. Climb to the top for
a tremendous view and maybe find aboriginal "pictographs".
Spruce Meadows
This picturesque world-class equestrian facility
has four major outdoor tournaments each year that attracts the Olympic,
World, European, and National Show Jumping Champions.
Saskatoon Farm
This 50-acre orchard is devoted to Saskatoonberry
production. Enjoy picking your own berries, or strolling through the pioneer
main street checking out the many Saskatoonberry products, in the café,
kitchen and general store.
Bar U Ranch
The Bar U Ranch National Historic Site is nestled
in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. It is a living historical ranch
with daily activities, group and adventure tours, that commemorates the
evolution of the Canadian ranching industry.

The Station
The original Okotoks Train Station has been completely
restored and is home to the Okotoks Visitors Bureau. The Station is also
a display centre for the work of our many talented local artists, musicians,
and actors.
Millarville Market
The Millarville Farmer's Market is renowned for it's
country atmosphere, original art, handcrafted goods, baking, and the freshest
fruit and produce. Plan on a leisurely morning at the market sampling
the food while local entertainers perform at the centre of the market
The market is open every Saturday mornings from Mid June to the beginning
of October 8:30 am until noon.
